The client managed their website completely separately from business operations. Product listings, pricing, and stock levels had to be updated manually in both places, a time-consuming process that regularly caused discrepancies.
Customers would order products online that were actually out of stock. Pricing updates made in the backend didn't reflect on the website without manual intervention, and every online order had to be re-entered into the system by hand.
