How much should a small business actually spend on social media advertising to see results?
Every agency I talk to gives me a different number lol. As a small business, what's actually a realistic minimum monthly budget before social ads start bringing in real leads and not just impressions?

There's no magic number but here's the honest version, most platforms need a minimum amount of spend just to get out of the 'learning phase' where the algorithm is still figuring out who to show your ad to. Go too low and you basically pay to teach the algorithm forever without ever getting results. We usually tell clients to budget enough to run for at least 4-6 weeks before judging anything, not days.

Yeah we made this mistake lol, went in way too small and basically stayed stuck in 'testing' for like 2 months straight with barely any real data to show for it.

Also depends a lot on what you're selling honestly. $500/month makes sense if you're selling a $2k service, but it's a waste if your product is $20.
