We are moving off QuickBooks and want to plan the switch to Odoo. How long does the migration usually take, and what decides it?

It depends mostly on how much history you bring across and how clean it is. For Auto Glass Force, QuickBooks was retired with a complete data migration on go-live day, inside a six-week rollout. We scope the migration during the first call, before any proposal.

Ours took longer than planned because the chart of accounts needed tidying first. Clean that up before you start.

Agree on a cut-over date early and freeze changes in the old system a few days before it.
